Brother & Sister Hand & Foot Casting
The bond between a brother and sister is one of the most special connections in the world — full of shared laughter, little squabbles, and a love that grows stronger every year. Brother and sister hand and foot casting is a beautiful way to freeze a moment in time, preserving the size and detail of your children’s hands and feet together in one treasured keepsake.
At The Life Casting, we create personalised sibling casting keepsakes for families all across Sydney — capturing the unique story of your little ones, right in the comfort of your own home.
What is Brother & Sister Hand & Foot Casting?
Brother and sister hand and foot casting is casting is the process of creating a three-dimensional sculpture of your children’s hands and/or feet together, using gentle, non-toxic moulding materials that are completely safe for children of all ages — from newborns right through to older kids.
Each set of moulds is carefully taken in a single session, capturing both siblings side by side. The finished cast preserves every tiny detail — fingerprints, soft curves, nail lines, and the natural difference in size between an older child and a younger one — creating a one-of-a-kind piece that tells the story of your family exactly as it is today.

FAQs
Can you cast children of different ages together?
Absolutely. We regularly cast siblings of different ages in the same session — from a newborn alongside a toddler, to primary school-aged children. We adapt our approach depending on each child’s age and comfort level.
What if one of my children is too wriggly or won't cooperate?
That’s completely normal! Our artists are experienced at working with children of all temperaments. The moulding material sets very quickly, so even a few seconds of stillness is usually all we need. We always come prepared with patience and a few tricks to help little ones settle.
Do both children need to be in the same frame?
Not at all — that’s entirely your choice. We can create a combined display with both siblings together in one frame, or two individual frames designed as a matching pair. We’ll talk you through the options at booking.
How long does the sibling casting session take?
The moulding process usually takes around 10–20 minutes for two children depending on their age and cooperation. The finished keepsake is then crafted in our workshop and ready within a few weeks.
Can we add a third sibling or include a parent's hand?
Yes — we can accommodate more than two children, and we can also incorporate a parent’s hand into the same casting for a truly special whole-family keepsake. Just let us know when you book and we’ll design the layout around your family.
